Everyclick, the search engine that donates 50% of its profits each month to charity, is urging business leaders to encourage their staff to use its services and raise money for charity.
Everyclick is calling on business leaders to introduce 'desktop donating' at work so that their staff members can search the web and raise funds for charity at no cost to themselves.
"The British workforce is unknowingly pouring millions down the drain which could be going to hundreds of charities both nationally and internationally", claims the search engine company. Given that there are 17.4 million office workers in the UK, some of whom will search the web each day, there is potential to develop a valuable new income stream for charities.
Everyclick is therefore asking business leaders and public figures ranging from Ken Livingstone to Sir Martin Sorrell, Head of WPP, to adopt 'desktop donating.
Polly Gowers, everyclick.com Managing Director, estimates that the top five employee sectors in the UK (banking, public sector, accountancy, law, and marketing) could generate £60 million a year between them if they switched to everyclick.
At Watkins Hire we have adopted www.everyclick.com as our search engine of choice, we hope to raise monies for Childline and will provide details on the amounts raised in the future.
