A manufacturer based in South East of England presented Watkins Hire heating hire division KwikHEAT with the task to replace existing on site temporary heaters with a noise level of 76dba @ 3 metres, whilst the heat from the existing hired heaters was acceptable the noise level generated was unacceptable to the building occupants.
Specialist heating technical sales manager Mark Biddell advised the client that the KwikHEAT MH300 hire heaters were considerably quieter @ 63dba @ 3 metres, with 92% efficiency, based on this the client was very impressed as the other companies he had enquired to could not even achieve 70dba @ 3 metres.
Mark Biddell visited site to carry out a full survey, the building was 55,000m3 and required a total of six MH300 site heater hire units to raise the heating level inside the building to comply with current HSE working regulations on temperature, to further increase efficiency and reduce overall number of heater on hire and reduce running costs Mark Biddell also suggested that five of the six high capacity industrial heaters supplied should have full recirculation, the sixth unit would introduce the fresh air requirement for the building.
Another feature that pleased the client was the fact that we were offering true building enviromental control, each site heater is fitted with a Frost stat for automatic building protection during cold snaps without the need for engineer intervention. Each KwikHEAT heater hire unit is also fitted with a time clock for unattended stop start of the heating to coincide with their working hours, and finally the KwikSTAT200 a wireless thermostat system was used to maintain the building temperature giving true building control.
Fuel management was also taken by the client, we drew up a schedule based on the heating equipment fuel requirements and delivered fuel accordingly to the six FuelPAK3000 bunded fuel tanks.
